About this business
Almost 150 years after Colorado was the 38th state admitted to the union, State 38 Distilling was established to celebrate the western beauty that is Colorado by hand crafting small batch spirits using only organic ingredients and crisp rocky mountain water, forging quality spirits by getting back to basics. We ONLY use Fair Trade 100% Organic Raw Blue Agave and Hand-Milled Grains as the base for all our spirits. Private Parties and VIP Tours available - please contact us to schedule.

Love the corner saloon on Washington and 12th in Golden, CO!
Great little place. Good vodka, gun that doesn't taste like a cleaning product, and excellent whiskeys. Ironically, the only things we didn't taste were the agave spirits. Guess I'll have to go back!

Amazing distillery! Owner is a great host and tour guide. Definitely a place to go while in Golden.
The State-38 tour was the best distillery tour I've taken, by miles! We lucked out and got Shaun (the owner) as our tour guide. He is knowledgeable, passionate & freaking funny! The history teacher that I went with even learned something new. All the alcohol I tasted was good. I HATE gin, (& still wouldn't buy a bottle), but his is the best I've ever tasted.
