Best pizza in Houston – If you can't get to Chicago, Star Pizza is the closest thing in Houston. It can get crowded on weekends, but they usually keep up with demand. Parking is not great, but you can usually find a spot on the streets near by.
Best pizza out there – This place is really excellent for tasty, real pizza that is made to order. I have always had excellent service and a perfectly done pizza every time. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, there's always parking, and it's a perfect place to bring a crowd.
I love this place! – This was my first time at Star Pizza. I would definitely come back for lunch, and even dinner. I love this place. If your in the mood for fantastic food in an uber-trendy atmosphere, you will probably love it, too. The was great and the waitstaff , albeit overtly cool, was very friendly. Try the Margherita Pizza or the Rosemary & Garlic Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
Great food and service – They have great pizza, great service and a great lunch buffet. Salad bar is always good. It is easy to get in and out quick for lunch.
save your money, save the disappointment – The pizza I had delivered last night from Star Pizza in the Heights was DIS-GUS-TING and pretty much inedible. What was wrong with it? Well the main problem was WAAAAAAAAY too much cheese. That caused other problems as well. For example, New York style crust is supposed to be crispy!! This crust was the total opposite of crispy. Best Pizza in Houston – This place is awsome. I love the cozy feeling this place has. My girlfriend and I were seated very promptly and had a nice table with the angel babys but. It was a packed house but we felt alone because of the large seats we had. The Pizza is the best I ever had. Im a really hearty guy and usually i eat an average of 4 slices, yet the pizza slices at this joint were so big and fool of toppings that I only ate 2. Best place to hang out with a group friends after a movie.
Disappointed – I had heard such great things, but what a disappointment. Our waiter was lacking any personality and was very inattentive. The deep dish pizza was soggy and covered in mushrroms for lack of the other ingredients promiced by the menu's description. And the bathroom was so gross I thought I would get a disease. It's not good at all, just trendy, but I don't like to follow the crowd so I will never go there again. It was way way over priced, almost 20$ for a large supreme! Barry's is the best.
