Very Good Pizza – First off, for all that complain and then mention another pizza place...your complaints fall on deaf ears...most figure its the competition putting complaints up..hahaha As for Star Pizza, it is very good pizza and well worth the drive...the staff is a little inconsistent..sometimes good..sometimes bad..but pizza is always good..their salads are very good also.
Fantastic Atmoshere! – Not only is the pizza suberb, but the staff is great, too....Ice cld beer and Star Pizza--the perfect evening!
Cynderilla – The crust on these pizza's are wonderful. Yes, the prices are a little high....but worth every penny.
pizza! pizza! – This restaurant is a very cozy place to hang out with friends, family, or to even go to a casual date. The pizza is very interesting. They do not have the typical pepperoni, pan, etc. They offer different toppings, such as spinach, vegetables, etc. I would totally recommend this place to hang out and not have to worry about the type of people because it is for everyone. Another great thing about this place is that if you are in the area, they will deliver to your door at your convenience.
so over-rated – Nothing special. Houston just lacks more than a couple of good pizza places so folks think this one is great. If you have pizza leftover you should box it yourself and use foil. They lumped 10 pieces of mine into one small box. It was a giant singular piece of unedible pizza the next morning. If you want good pizza head out to Napoli's in the burbs.
Service and food is going way down hill. – It really pains me to write this, as I have been a star fanatic for years. However, my satisfaction with both the food and service has been downgraded significantly. My order has been incorrect six of the last eight times. Pizza's served/delivered cold. Or not even cooked all the way through. Long waits when calling for takeout. Delivery taking two plus hours, without a phone call from them as to why. The Best – I normally have my food delivered and they have never failed me. Their pizza may cost a little more than what the chains charge, but it is well worth it; it's the best! Their meat lasagna is very tasty and a great value. Unless you are a large man with a huge apetite, you can safely make this a meal for two.
Star Pizza is ok – maybe i got there on a bad night. The environment is great, but the last time i ate there the cheese pizza (no other topping) was soggy (unforgivable sin) and tasteless. i like the dinner salad with the outstanding red pepper vinagrette dressing. the wait staff was great and there's lots of colorful patrons there. Parking can be a problem - i suspect people are parking across the street.
