RecommendedMy first visit to Star Nails was yesterday. I really enjoyed having the full treatment manicure and pedicure by Nhu. My appointment was at 10, some customers were walk-ins, plenty of technicians on duty.
Place has really gone down hill. Waited 45 minutes tonight, everyone before and after me taken care of. I ask how much longer on the wait. I’m asked if I signed in.., she watched me sign in 😡 I wasn’t even on the top sheet, it was the previous one. They never called my name, yet crossed my name off the list. Went elsewhere and had a much better experience. Won’t go back to Star.
2.5 hrs later and my nails are the wrong color but I just couldn’t sit there any longer 😡 Something stupid like this happens every time. We had an appointment and they didn’t start any of us for 20 minutes, then 2:5 of us didn’t start for another 30 minutes. Then after my toes were done, it took another 20 minutes for someone to get me to do my nails. Then this is where their swatches weren’t even close to the color I thought I was getting. So dumb.
LOVE them! They will do any nail design that you bring to them!
I had a reg pedicure and no chip manicure. I had Tiffany and I will ask for her the next time I need my feet and hands done again. She was terrific.
Star used to be good, not so much anymore. Very rushed. Went with my sister in law to chat while we got mani/pedis, they sat us on opposite side of the room even after we asked to be together. Next day I realized my mani already looks like it’s grown out. Didn’t paint all the way to the cuticle. I’m probably done going here. Always have to remember to bring cash because you can’t add tip to debit card.
It is the cleanest salon around. They really know how to treat their clients. The staff are friendly and experienced. I have been going to Star nails for nearly 15 years.
I recommend Star Nails in Shorewood. Today I had the manager Tommy do a gel full set. During my time there was an ignorant customer who made herself look stupid because she complained of the line and never made an appointment. She threatened to make an awful review on Facebook. I am here to say that woman was self-entitled and was so ignorant. I believe that they were very professional and was so accommodating to her even though I wanted to give her a piece of my mind.
