Stanford Hospital is the best! I am very fortunate to be a patient there.
Stanford stuck me with a HUGE bill for a diagnostic procedure that they had preapproved for me. They neglected to tell me that Stanford is out of network for Blue Shield, and it's my fault I didn't know that. Maybe your preapproval staff should have told me that BEFORE I had the procedure? You are not the only quality medical provider in town. In the future I will go to someone who cares enough about their patients to be upfront about these things.
Excellent care so far. Really thorough health analysis before hip operation. Peaceful room. Varied menu. Dr Huddleston listened well when I first met him. Anaesthetist called me “Friend” - a very jolly chap.
I have never seen the level of incompetence, delay, misinformation, and confusion that I have seen at Stanford hospital. Weeks after weeks and endless phone calls to get patients information, wrong information sent, early discharge that has resulted in having to go back, patient left with a random Uber driver for 5 hours. Unacceptable doesn’t even begin to describe it. The third world is light years ahead. Shameful
