Im a 64 yo male who had double vision after my cataract surgery and was referred to Dr Stagers office by an ophthalmologist who was trained my Dr Stager Sr. I had first been seen by Dr Stager Sr, and I found him to be very kind, thoughtful, knowledgable and extremely empathetic. We took our son to see Dr. Stager, Jr. as a second opinion. The first ophthalmologist we saw recommended eye surgery for our then 4 year old. Dr. Stager, Jr. recommended the same thing, but his bedside manner was incredible. He was personable, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Our son still had a slight misalignment even after the surgery (which is common). We continued to see Dr. Stager, Jr. for glasses (bifocals) to correct the misalignment. My son has been through surgery with Dr. Stager Jr and he has a great manner with children. He is knowledgeable and kind...and our results have been incredible. We visited several doctors before finding Dr. Stager Jr and we are happy we found the best doctor. I rate my doctors by their training, experience, results, and passion for what they do--other reviewers who care about the receptionist, billing questions, or wait times to make new appointments are focused on the wrong thing. After a 2 month wait to see Dr. Stager Jr, today was the D day. I pulled my son from school for our 1:30 pm appointment. On arrival and checking in a woman in the front desk told me that "your son cannot be seen today because the account has a $500 balance" I asked where the balance came from as the last time we visited last year we paid everything prior to his surgery. I asked why I hadn't received a bill or a phone call, she didn't know. She called the woman in charge of billing, who said we had not met a $1,300 deductible... read more
Dr. Stager Jr. was nice and I went to him for my son because of positive reviews from parents who have seen him in the past with their children. During our two appointments, his front office staff was rude, not just unpleasant, but rude. There are too many providers in the Dallas to endure such poor service.
Jennifer made it a very unpleasant experience. I wouldn't go back because of her. Rude.
Awesome Dr. Stager is a great pediatric ophthalmologist. I drive 1 1/2 hours to get my son to his doctor's office. He have really improved my son's vision. He is at the top of my doctor's list.
