I dislike St. Mary's a great deal since my mother passed away there. Let's just say she should still be with us. Only stepped in the building twice since then. The process they took after my mom passed was what sent me elsewhere. Leaving her lying there for all to look at, lights on, no curtains pulled, and door wide open; Calling the family 45 min after she had passed; me walking into her room not knowing she had passed and thinking she was asleep; walked right by nursing station at 3am with at least 10 workers there. I went to St. Mary's ER yesterday for the worst migraine I've ever had. The staff was very nice and professional. They got me in and comfortable with an IV running to ease my pain. The doctor was very kind and knowledgeable and I truly felt like he cared for me. I will definitely go back and recommend St. Mary's to others in need.
I have a friend who is a recovering addict who relapsed and his body started shutting down. His ER nurse seemed to think it was funny and was making jokes to the other nurses, who were laughing too, he heard all of it. He already felt horrible for the relapse but to be treated like that was WRONG!! I'm reporting their behavior. It doesn't matter what your there for, everyone should be treated respectfully.
