I'd like to start off with love Dr. Straka. The way the office is run is horrible. I feel so bad for the parents who have more serious behavioral issues going on that need to wait this long. For an established patient you're waiting 18 months for a follow up. To even get another child evaluated it takes them a year to even review paperwork and now 2 to even get you scheduled. Dr. Straka was great. It did take some time to get in but was worth the wait because she is thorough and took a good amount of time discussing things with me, watching my son and asking him questions, as well as seeing how he interacted with/to things. She covers a lot of grounds including checking other things with other specialists if needed like nutritionists, audiologists, brain scans if needed, etc. I have recommended her to others with the note that there is a wait period. I was referred to developmental pediatrician to get a diagnose for my son. Got package in MARCH sent back in MARCH. got a form I missed from daycare filled out right away sent back. My chart was put for review in MAY . Let's play it safe and say JUNE . called for updates it always you have to wait 12 weeks for the chart review. After 12 weeks of waiting thinking that my child finally is getting an appointment . Now I'm being told it might take 6 months for me to get an appointment and then to know how long a far this appoint... read more
this place is bogus. i received letters for each of my sons that they can not be treated at the facility. How can they not be if they never been to the office. No one seen them but we were denied services. one letter said my son should be evaluated from school district which he was and they referred to developmental services for furthered evaluation.
