RecommendedVery positive experience in the ER
The nursing staff was disorganized and lacked proper bed side manners. My 3 month old twins where there for a stomach virus and dehydration. The nurses assistants where not aware of their age imposing improper treatment because of not knowing. They did not do 4 hour checks and they where not checked on for almost 8 1/2 hours. The nurses forgot to hook up their I.V’s because they did not know who was supposed to do it. The facility was dirty and my infant daughter was bitten on her belly by bugs. The whole process from triage to treatment was fairly quick. All staff was very thorough in explaining their role during the process. Everyone wore a nice smile at all times and were eager to answer any and every question. I went in to treat a chin cut my toddler got and that required stitches. Entire process lasted less than 3 hours which to me is impressive for an ER...it was longer because they had to wait for numbing cream and then sedative to work prior to the stitches. I recommend 100%
Just went to the emergency room to have my daughter checked up and had the worse experience with a Dr. Gong. We have made the choice to go a differ even route with our child and her immunizations, at that point Dr. Gongs attitude and demeanor changed 100 percent. She gave us a very short responses and very little to stand on. I can not speak for the other doctors in this hospital but if there anything like how Gong treaded us, there just as bad. Excellent service! Been with you guys since I moved to Florida 11 years ago. Recommend St.Joseph’s Children’s Hospital over any hospital.😊
St. Joseph's hospital was amazing with my daughter last night. Our pediatrician told us to make the 60 minute commute rather than bring her to a local ER for the issue she was having. They were totally on it. I was also so grateful for the Child Life Specialist and impressed at how well she put my daughter at ease.
Very nice staff that make your child feel comfortable.
