My son was life flighted to the PICU last week and put into a medical coma. He has since awakened and mostly recovered on the pediatrics floor. The staff and doctors at this hospital are amazing and I owe my baby’s amazing recovery to all of them - especially Dr. Green and Dr. Slinko in the PICU. I’ll never forget how kind and helpful everyone at this hospital has been during one of the scariest weeks of my life. Our 7 month old daughter was transferred to you from Winter Haven hospital. Through her illness we quite literally nearly lost her twice. After spending a night in ICU, she made a miraculous recovery. Her Drs and nurses were very thorough with getting to and treating the source. In fact, had it not been for her very alert nurses we might have lost her the night she went to ICU. Her triage nurse recognized an abnormal result and notified her nurse.
