The S.S. Badger is the largest car ferry to ever sail Lake Michigan and has provided a safe, fun, and reliable shortcut across the inland sea for more than fifty years. The ferry takes passengers, autos, RVs, tour buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and commercial trucks across Lake Michigan between Ludington, Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin from mid-May through mid-October.

It was a great experience. We did a 3 day motorcycle run from Minneapolis through the UP and back. It was a nice relaxing break from driving. They have a good spot to tiedown bikes. The crew was very friendly and helpful.
Been taking this trip with our grandson since 05 Relaxing and entertaining way to get to Michigan and enjoy the other side of the lake. .. BIG SHIP......MORE FUN!
First time I have been across Lake Michigan since I went when my grandpa was working on the boat in 1976. I loved it back then and loved it this time. After 27 hours driving home from Montana the break was perfect. Good food, friendly staff, nap in the lounge chairs, and some quiet reading! Great Day!
We had a wonderful passage. The trip was smooth, the ship itself is fascinating, the crew is very helpful and works hard to make it fun (they succeed!) and onboard amenities, from the gift shop to the (excellent) food, are very reasonably priced. Oh, and the free shipboard WiFi is fast and solid. Five stars.
Breakfast was really good, bingo was fun, and Bloody Mary's to boot!!! And relaxed floating to Wisconsin
