The ferry takes passengers, autos, RVs, tour buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and commercial trucks across Lake Michigan between Ludington, Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin from mid-May through mid-October.

RecommendedMy memories go back to the Spartan traveling to Ludington or Kewaunee...those were some cold winter snowy trips! No BIG SHIP MORE FUN then but we had ‘womb chairs’ to snuggle or sleep on! No bingo then but very glad it is available now, along w/the Badger Boutique!!

Great trip, easy load and unloading!!
It was actually quite relaxing. (especially compared to driving around the Lake through Chicago! )Entertainment was fun. Plenty of room to go walking for exercise. I highly recommend
great way to avoid the flooding in the U.P. and change our trip plans just a tad.
great experience had a truck shipped over from Michigan to Wisconsin John donated the whole thing for me made it very easy no driver but totally painless
A nice alternative to driving around through the U. P. or Chicago. But be aware this is an old boat a lot of the seating areas are just table and chairs. The comfortable recliners are in the back of the snack bar and I’m sure the bingo caller lady is nice , but trying to nap during the endless games is difficult. The snack bar had few healthy choices, and again was near the only reclining seats to take a snooze. My only real complaint is the loading and unloading of cars. Captain Curtis and the Badger crew (ship and shore) went above and beyond to make our trip special. Nate was a fabulous Badger Bingo and trivia host. The burrito bar was delicious. It was a wonderful day, and we’ll never forget it!
