What a great find! We are travelling from LA to San Francisco with stops along the coast. The Spyglass Inn has been fantastic! Oceanfront room overlooking the water and the fire pits is really nice. My favourite part is listening to the waves crashing on shore down below. Walking along the path, breakfast in the restaurant, the hot tub...it has all been fabulous! Beautiful hotel. Can't beat the ocean view rooms. I got bottom floor and could upgrade to top floor but glad we didn't as the bottom floor had a good size patio and walked you straight out to cliffs. Room also had a fireplace. Restaurant was great. Food was delicious and you could sit outside with heat lamps. They had 3 fire pits with chairs which was nice in the evening. They shut off at 10pm. They had a short path that lead down to beach where you could watch the surfers and lots of dolphins. Nice romantic weekend getaway

this picture is completely accurate! I love the Spyglass Inn and was sad to leave! everything you need is within walking distance and you are treated so well. Avila beach is 5 minutes away, what more could you want!! will be back next year for sure!
Have stopped by their restaurant for many years on the road to or from Carmel. Great view, especially at sunset...food is consistently good! Love the bar (staff is super nice) but outdoor dining is a beautiful option. Love this place, try the cucumber martini!
