Noticed a cockroach in our bathroom on the first day of our two day stay, didn’t think too much of it at first as it is a hotel and can’t control the world🤷🏻♀️ Then went out to our balcony and noticed staff members squashing and spraying for roaches on the balcony below us. We then found 3 more in our room. I addressed it with the front desk staff and was simply told “it’s a water bug and it’s the beach”. Hi Camile, I appreciate you letting us know about your experience. We hate to see these bugs emerge. We have had an unbelievably large amount of rainfall in the last month, contributing to a few sightings. The only way we can treat eradicate them from a room (if requested) is to spray the room. Which I understand was not your choice and I certainly understand your standing on that. My apologies for the miscommunication with the desk. They may have sent the technician up just to be sure. Hotel is on the beach, indoor & outdoor pool. Rooms were clean and hotel requires masks and social distancing.
