I have to say, after reading review upon review complaining about not having access to the balcony and the noise of construction, my twin and I were hesitant to book our 50th birthday celebration there. Incredible resort! Great people beautiful room and view
I've been coming here for 15 years and always feel at home when I arrive. The construction for the past couple of years really puts a kink in the experience. No access to the balconies, jackhammers going all day, men on balcony (no privacy). It seems like the changes are almost done and the lobby and rooms are beautiful. Restaurants are just getting up and running so there are some definite bugs to work out (waiting 15 mins for coffee in the lobby only to have them run out). Do yourself a favor go to Margaritaville! Horrible experience and management does not care to make it right!
What a disappointment. Did not know about renovations which made our balcony inaccessible. Too many people in such a small space. Beach is too narrow to accommodate the number of guests...no seats at any of the pools. Beach workers climbed over you to cram in more seats. Valet is a three ring circus. Point Royal dinner: good food but overpriced. Their breakfast buffet average for the high cost. Waste of time, money and points.
Beautiful Resort but they're still renovating some areas so be advised. Really enjoyed the stay. A negative ... the lengthy registration lines and waiting to check in or access a desk clerk.
My husband and I have stayed here for our anniversary and loved it. We were on the east coast of Florida for a soccer tournament and thought it would be nice to stay here with our kids. When we checked in as a diamond member were were not given nor offered any upgrades. The diamond VIP check in was non existent. When I checked in we asked if there would be available for a hot breakfast upgrade since this is what they did for us the last time we visited.
