Where to start...5 star prices and 2 star quality. The good things were the valet staff (very cheery and great sense of humor), the height of the shower, room decor, and the proximity to the beach. Check in was relatively painless even on a busy Sunday so I had high hopes. The construction at the hotel is a huge burden. You paid extra for a room with balcony and ocean view. The hotel is nice, the room was clean and spacious- my gripe is with the hugely overpriced food and drinks. We travel all over the world and the hotel is just not at the level where a glass of (poor) Cabernet and a 2oz pour of Amaretto is almost $45. Dressing ladies of a certain age in thigh length nylon mini skirts and knee length boots is also not classy. Way more bang for your buck available locally.
Just returned from our stay at this resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful!! Great place to stay! The staff was friendly and very helpful when needed. Beautiful views and lots of entertainment close by. We were a bit disappointed in our balcony not being accessible due to renovations. On our second day of our stay we asked if there were any other rooms available with an accessible balcony. They had us in a room within hours. It's breathtaking from the decor to the outside oceanfront views!! The hotel staff was impeccable! Definitely want to give a shout out to Adam who works at the upper pool, he made my husband and I feel welcomed and appreciated! The concierge had great recommendations and even called the restaurant and booked a reservation for us! It was truly special staying here.
I loved it, to bad it was a short stay but were definitely going back
The property was beautiful...I enjoyed the views from every angle... did not have a balcony cause of renovations, did not let it get to me.. i have been reading some of the comments below and all I have to say is do your research... Your staying in a resort style property, you pay for what you get... I will definitely be going back...
We just got back from our vacation at the Diplomat and where very impressed with how nice everything looked and how great the restaurant stuff was.. but very disappointed with a situation with our room when we checked in and got to our room the room had used wine glasses, a random hanger on the couch, empty shopping bags etc etc so we called the front desk to make sure this room was right and they sent security to check it out. We were miss treated being a gay couple. The snarky comments from a few of the staff members really stared my spirits.. I could've instantly been a jail mate. The sad part about it all is I am a Event planner and have done ✅ many gigs here . The back house staff is more of a pleasure to work with; versus the crew that work with the public.
We were given a room without a toilet seat on the toilet and there was a constant rumble during the night that kept me awake.
