don't go for lunch – Had lunch there today and it was bad. My flat bread sandwich was very very salty and not good. My wife had a cabbage stuffed with meat and rice which she said was ok. It was also overpriced for what you get.

Nice Atmosphere, Shaky Service – I have eaten at Spice Street twice now, and I think that the bar area, the general decor, and the concept is great. A definite plus for the Chapel Hill restaurant and bar scene. Unfortunately, the service needs some improvement (it took us about 15 minutes to finally snag a waiter on Saturday night after we were seated). For now, it is a great place to catch a drink before dining elsewhere, but I hope that the service glitches will be worked out soon!

Growing Pains – Spice Street is a well-designed restaurant with nice open spaces and wonderful lighting mixed with intimate seating and high-energy group dining. The creators of Spice Street clearly spent a lot of thought and money designing their sheik Chapel Hill restaurant. Unfortunately, the care put into the decor didnt make it to the food or service.
