The service department quoted me (in writing) $600 on March 16, 2018 to replace the driver's side electric door lock switch on my 2009 Malibu. I said no thank you, and I went online & bought the AC / Delco switch (same switch as factory) for $21 including tax and shipping, and replaced the switch myself in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. Just had my trucked looked at by a third mechanic and just like I suspected the $650 they charged me for the control band and upper ball joint they supposedly replaced was never replaced. It’s still the original from when it was bought. These are the same people that told me I had to buy a new console if I wanted to replace the latch because it’s one piece. All the staff here have excellent customer service, they have been so patient with me and diligently worked hard to get me into the perfect car for me and my family. BUYER BEWARE!! I bought my 2012, $17,248.01, Chevy 2 yrs ago from Speedway. I didn't want a car that would nickle & dime me to death, especially with pymts of $339.00 a mth. The 2nd time I took my car into the shop in the 1st yr & was told it WASN'T covered by my warranty, I unfortunately couldn't afford the repair cost. Today Eric And Scott (Service Dept) were outrageously rude & disrespectful when I called to get info on parts.
I went into Speedway Chevrolet knowing what I wanted, and was fortunate that they had it in stock. Shane understood what I was after, understood all my concerns, and and he made it work with no hassle. One of the best car buying experiences I've had.
Awesome dealership. No pressure sales. Knowledgable and friendly staff.
