Soyka is one of the major feats of local restauranteur extraordinaire Mark Soyka (of the Cardozo Cafe and Van Dyke Cafe), and it shows every sign of achieving the same level of success. Soyka's downtown location is a little seedy, compared to sophisticated South Beach. The crowd is diverse; families and scenesters alike crowd into the packed dining area and cozy courtyard. The menu features primarily American favorites (roast chicken, burgers) with a few more exotic dishes such as sesame seared salmon.

We love Soykas ... we’ve gone there many, many times since the day it opened. The food is great, and greater still with the addition of the always great customer service we receive from the staff. We are always greeted by name from a few of the staff who have been there a long time, including Sonia. We also love the decour ... marvelous!
I loveeeeee (Soyka) it's my favorite restaurant, been her a couple of times, & most definitely will return.... Love the jazz music, and when I went yesterday to celebrate my birthday, they made my night soooo special... They played "Happy Birthday" on the piano for me, and had a violinist serenade me at my table! The best!!!!! Soyka restaurant yr the Best

Not a bad place. The happy hour was good and the food was tasty. The server was pretty slow.

thank you for this review
I have been going to Soyka for 15 years. Today was the worst day ever. The service was bad, the food was bad, the server forgot what we ordered, a total disaster. The chef / menu has changed and it looks like the whole crew changed for the worse too. Hard to believe it's still the same owner. Looks like its a new owner and that the place is going down the drain.
Great atmosphere, great food, live Jazz band, absolutely loved it !!

Soyka is a wonderful restaurant! I have gone there many many times since moving to Miami. The menu selection is varied but not overwhelming. The main entrees take the diner to a new level of taste. Recently I tried the Beef Stroganoff which was added to the menus several months ago and I was very impressed with the size of the portion and how the flavors were distinct and wonderful. The generous portion of meat in the dish was impressive. It was the right balance of meat, noodles, mushrooms and sauce. Soyka reminds me of my ... read more
