Throughout my years living here in Waretown, my daughter, my mother, my husband and I have all been patients at SOMC. Everyone of us was treated with wonderful care and positive results. Our Cancer center, our ER, our nursing staff,cardiac therapy, TCU, you name it, is among the best. I am grateful to know that this hospital is an important asset to our community.
I have nothing but praise for the doctors and especially the nurses who care for me there. Oncology nurses are angels - I receive chemo every 3 weeks for the last 1-1/2 years and couldn’t do it without their support and that if the volunteers
SOMC is still the crappy community hospital it always was. They slapped some lights out front and changed their name but the administration still doesn’t feel accountable to the patients. They provide inadequate customer service and a lack of regard for patients

From the ED to the inpatient unit the care was exceptional.
The absolute worst! It’s a shame that this is the hospital in our area and our option for ER... actually very scary! Will never take my daughter there again. We had a nurse named Whitney who I think had no idea what day it was... she was awful. They were absolutely no help and did nothing for over two hours while rooms were empty and they talked in their nursing station as I paced back in fourth with my baby who was lethargic and unresponsive! What a joke this place is...

Terrible staff check ups. They tell you one thing and it doesn’t get done until 1 hour later I’ve been in here since 12:00pm it currently is 5:04pm all this time to do a chest X-ray. In my opinion go to a different hospital this one well Be out of service soon.
