My son-in-law, 37 years old, was sent to the er by his primary dr because she felt he had something wrong with his heart. The er checked him, said hes fine and kicked him loose. One week later he goes back and is diagnosed with a massive heart attack. 1 artery 100% blocked. He gets put in a helicopter and taken to a real hospital for treatment. RecommendedI attended 36 sessions at the Cardio Rehab Unit and it was a life changing experience. The concept of presenting educational lectures while clients exercise is brilliant. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. They are always open to answering questions. I learned about how the heart functions and the important role diet and exercise play in having the best possible life moving forward. The staff is extremely encouraging. Triage nurse was excellent but er sucks not the dr the rns
By far the worst hospital experience ever. Er leaves you sitting in a room for hours. No one even bothers to check in on you. Clearly they don't care about their patients at all. On top of the fact that they put you in an er room when you should be in labor and delivery.
Terrible Hospital. In with a possible stroke... yet told us 'no' to a neurological dr consult..3 days later, finally bring one in and he tells patient he can't give consult until she schedules an in office visit (!) 2nd neurologist shows up the next day and actually gave a consult and said 1st doctor was more concerned with $. Bed not changed in 3 days. Violation of privacy due to CAMERA in room for roommate, with 0 notification? Horrible feeling when staff tell you to go to a different hospital.. Been through the ER and have had family member admitted for several days at SOMC. Always a good experience. Nurses and support staff helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean and tidy. Only had an issue with one ER doctor that I will review elsewhere.
thanks to at the er this past tuesday. I was there and everyone was very polite and pretty fast to see drs and xrays.
patient care, treat sick patients like ppl and not garbage as a #$. some very rude staff and will even argue over stupid crap since they didn't even bother to help with health care
