We are new to the area and I went to SOMC tonight for the first time with my 3yo. He cut his finger and needed stitches. Walked right in and went up to the front desk. I anticipated having to wait as a finger laceration does not take priority. However, I went straight from the front desk to triage and then right into the back into a room. I didn't really see our nurse at all except for her to pass Meds (Motrin) in the room- but there really wasn't much need. The Doctor (Dr. Moses) and the PCA took great care of him/us. HORRENDOUS !!!! If you're dying, drive the extra miles to another hospital. Took 2 hours to be seen. The staff was more concerned with what's for dinner!!!
Excellent service. Many different tests done. All but one is ready to be reviewed.
Visited Emergency Room while passing kidney stones, The whole process took a bit longer than I believe it should have but all the staff (including volunteers) were both quite pleasant and professional. I wasn't in any great deal of pain at the time so the waits were tolerable.
