A few outlets in the living room did not work following a storm. Southern Coast Services determined the problem was a broken breaker, replaced it and verified that all the outlets functioned properly before leaving. Since that time, everything has been fine.

The kitchen faucet was leaking slowly under the sink, which we were putting off till it just got worse. The plumber from Southern Coast Services arrived the same day, fixed the damaged pipe and ensured there was no water damage under the cabinets before leaving. Very thorough work.

One of the hottest afternoons this year, my 12-year-old Carrier AC failed me. I was getting ready for the crappiest news, but it was just a bad cap, and the cold air was back in less than an hour. They fixed where it was needed, but not the whole system. I appreciated that.

Around 9 pm, our AC started to stop working, and we had two young children at home, so it was a matter of time before we needed help. I'm not sure how many people showed up. I didn't expect anyone to show up that late. The tech was nice, and got them back up and running by nightfall.

The electrician noticed, while running wire in the attic ceiling, that there was a fire hazard because some of the insulation had shifted to cover the junction boxes in my bedroom. He halted and waved the thing before moving on. He didn't force me to buy the more expensive one; he didn't try to upsell me; he just showed me pictures and asked me what I wanted to do with it. I appreciated that. But it's very difficult to come by such honesty.

A circuit breaker tripped at my house every couple of days. I reset it, and it would stay for a few minutes before tripping again. The electrician did an in-depth circuit load test. I found that I had a lot of heavy-draw appliances on a single circuit, including the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. He also added a second circuit for kitchen use and increased it to 20 amps. No more tripping. He taught me everything and was not offended by my multiple questions.

Installed a hot water recirculation pump last year by another company, and it never functioned correctly. The hot water was still slow to reach the master bathroom. The team visited for inspection. The technician found that the pump was installed in the WRONG direction and the check valve was in reverse. He fixed both problems and adjusted the pump timer. Today, all the hot water in the bathroom runs out in less than 30 seconds. The real ones really made the difference by their competency.

The professional team at SC Services completely tuned up my unit, cleaning the coils, checking the refrigerant charge, testing the thermostat, and inspecting all electrical connections. They found that the evaporator coil was slightly soiled and cleaned it thoroughly. Many thanks, guys!
