This is a very popular restaurant with a great atmosphere. I ordered one thing - a pecan sticky bun - and it did not live up to the reputation. It was great to look at, but stale. It was easily several days old. I was very disappointed.

South Restaurant was a pleasant surprise. When a coworker told me about the restaurant I was expecting an out of the way diner. Boy were we wrong. From the ambience, warmth and sophisticated decor, we were impressed. Then we met Kristina, our quick, funny, sharp witted server and knew that our first visit would not be our last. Being from Bend Oregon and also the Portland Oregon area I have to say that the food, ambiance and service is outstanding. Close to the airport, great parking and location too. A must visit place if you are from here or just visiting.
Tried,again, South. Went in past three people at reception without a word being exchanged into the bar. No one but the bartender in the bar. No one came to offer water, cocktail, menu or anything. Left, again no ackAnother great place for an example on service is Suite 101. Great bar and bartenders in both places, Ginger and Suite 100.nowledgement from greeters. This is not our first time with similar experience. Try going to Ginger for example on how a real reastaurant bar is run.
