In a world where the objective seems to be getting the food from the freezer to the table as fast as possible, smoQ was created out of a passion to do things the right way! SmoQ was designed with an emphasis on the smoker because the smoker was designed with an emphasis on slow cooking. Coupling that, is a desire to create southern food with a flair while holding true to the values that make southern cuisine special.

I loved the fried ribs! My husband really enjoyed their cornbread and he doesn't eat cornbread. Everything tasted good. No complaints from me!
I've been all over the South to various barbecue places and it's nice to see that this is not one of those. The pork here is phenomenal. If you want tender meat that melts in your mouth go to smoq. If you want collard greens that aren't too vinegary and are handpicked go to smoq. This is my first time and I will be back many times. This is also one of the only places in the area I've seen that has shrimp and grits. I will have to try that when I go back.
The good was AMAZING . Everything on our plate was delicious and the service was very friendly.
Great food. Great service. I was sort of expecting a different ambiance though. I was expecting more of a southern charm feel and got more of a classier restaurant feel. No complaints though!

The Buffo Q wings were amazing. As well as the 5 cheese mac n cheese
Amazing bbq and fried green tomatoes with a delicious sweet relish. We will be back
Portions are well worth the cost. I got the brisket sandwich...the beef was very juicy, tender, and the bits of fat melt in your mouth. Best brisket I've had yet! I'm considering having them cater to my wedding.
