Our 2nd visit and Mama's first. Great food, service and experience. I love all the pictures. Elvis music played the whole time we were there. Don had his 1st ever taste of Chess pie. We chose chocolate and coconut. Outstanding!

I love there food and service. I get the greens every time I go there. I wished I knew what was in the greens to taste so good. Those are the best greens I have ever had and the vegetables taste great along with the meet. We don't mind the wait time. I wished the owner would open a place in Bartlett. The prices are good. You get a lot of food and home made deserts too. We drive a distance to get to this restaurant.
Great food! Try the dessert with homemade ice cream you cannot go wrong.
Seriously going into Sling Shot Charlie's I didn't know what to think. I normally stay in the inner city of Memphis, but this place was recommended by a friend and I thought why not. It honestly wasn't too far from where I live in midtown, and when I received my food I was immediately in awe after one bit. The food was so good! I got the hot plate special which was the chicken and dressing (Sunday) Mac and cheese, mash potatoes and gravy, greens, and mexican corn bread. Omg this has the best food and the best people. Wonderful place. Everyone has to go here and try it at least once in their life.
The wait staff was overwhelmed by the extraordinary number of customers, the awful heat, and the impatience of some customers, but they handled everything with grace. Service was as good as possible, heat was bearable, and food was just awesome!! We will most certainly come back!!
