The room was full of dust emitted from the carpets which I had to fold and put in closet. Otherwise it was good. Had a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, dish washer, microwave, electric stove, coffe maker, bread toaster, all cooking tools and dishes. Also has washer and dryer in the room. Best thing about the apartment was you could see the sun rise every morning. The staff were very friendly and supportive specially Mr Joss.
Scammed me out of half of my application fees after I tried to cancel and their employee who was supposed to process my request quit.
RecommendedMs. Renee and Marshall are the best. They are patient and professional in explaining all of the great amenities and special features of the building and local area. Enjoyed our tour of the property!
TL;DR: SkyHouse quality of life has tanked recently and your better off finding an actual "luxury" apartment. My experience at Sky House went from stellar to awful over the past three-four months. The following are only some of the complaints that I have. First and foremost, the leasing office/management team does not get things done. The new management and amenities and renting options have drastically changed. It’s not fun to live here anymore I can’t even have guest only two 🤷♀️I have more than two siblings!
Pros: amenities are good. Gym is an elevator ride away, and 24 is a good concept with pool and grill. Cons: management, or what perceives to be management. Neighbors have been reported to be loud in the middle of the night, nothing’s done about it. Property stolen in the parking garage, nothing’s done about it. The front desk is indifferent to any issue you may have, and slowly many perks (such as unlimited guest parking) are being chipped away. Can’t recommend given the other options in uptown.
First "Luxury" Apartment living opportunity, very excited just moving into the Charlotte area, unfortunately, this is without a doubt the worst living arrangement I have ever had the misfortune of happening upon. First, the location, the best part about Skyhouse is it is literally 3 blocks from the heart of uptown. All downhill from here. Skyhouse happens to be about 2 blocks from a Homeless Shelter, so I hope you love the homeless wandering around the parking deck even right up to the front door to ask for cash. They don’t really care about people living in here, once you sign, they are gooone. The Marijuana smell is incredible and it has been entering my apartment for months now, but no one seems to care and won’t do anything about it. They no longer respond to emails about it, have a long email chain going since September 2018. So consider that before moving in. Ps: this is my door right now to try to mitigate the smell going into my closet and kitchen.
