However with the demise of the Great Gorge Railway in 1938, the construction of a superhighway to Toronto, and excessive pollution strangling the river, the waterfront declined. The only activity was the piling of sand dredged from the river bottom. Beginning in 1978 the waterfront had a rebirth. The village trustees purchased the land and opened it up to fishing, and a launch was put into place. Superb food everything in the restaurant is delicious
Always good food & service. Get the Haystack - you won't be disappointed!! Best view around too! :)
Just went there today. Took my grandkids for lunch. 2 burgers and a fish sandwich. Forgot the fries, hair in the Hamburger, the fish sandwich was appeared to be a Mrs. Pauls fish triangle. The rolls were hard and cold, must have taken them out of the freezer. Thirty dollars in the garbage,,, won't go back there.
