Waited over 2 hours in the waiting area with my husband who was in severe pain. Never was taken back to be seen so we made the longer drive to Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. BEST decision we made. The extra drive time was worth the service my husband received. I recommend Doctors Hospital of Sarasota .

I just had an emergency cholecystectomy. There was no wait for me in the ER since I was the only person at that time though they filled quickly afterward. The ER staff were kind and considerate of all my needs. The surgical staff were nice but a little distant. As for the floor care, I was there basically overnight so mainly had one set of nurse+aide and I felt they were terrific. Though this hospital has had very bad reviews in the past, it seems they are turning that around.

They made a Big Stink about wanting $1400.00 before I went into Surgery, made the surgeon wait until I signed the papers and gave them my American Express Card. My insurance paid the whole bill except $31.00. Now I have to get them to crediit my A/E card..

the ER doc was surprised that my husband's cardiologist was 'enthusiastic' - what's the problem with being enthusiastic? I call it passionate!

Horrible experience in the ER. Staff needs to be trained on empathy and medical conditions. Will not recommend to anyone. Go to Sarasota Memorial.

Bariatric surgeon, Dr. Chebli, best in his field. Would recommend to anyone.
