My son got brought here via ambulance because it's the closest hospital to our home. He has Epilepsy and was in status epilepticus (a prolonged seizure that won't stop on its own), which is a medical emergency. The ER staff just let him seize for over an hour. They refused to administer rescue meds, even after Radys CHET team asked them to over the phone. I've never felt so helpless at a hospital, ever. Negative stars , this place is THE Worst sharp hospital I've ever been too. 3/4 of the nurses hate their job and even do it while giving an attitude. You can't even walk in the main hospital without getting harassed by security (well if you are mexican) . By far the worst hospital, I'd rather give mercy hospital on Hillcrest 5 stars before this shit place.
I received top notch care and service in the Grossmont Hospital Emergency Department. My only complaint is that I was there for over 5 hours, but most large ED's are like that. Everyone who took care of me was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable.

Grossmont hospital saved my life I had a hugh heart couldn't breathe they put in a defibular and a pacemaker in my heart my heart has healed. The Dr's and nursers did a wonderful job.

My experience in the e.r. yesterday was a good one as much pain as I was in. They tried to keep me comfortable. I was in alot of pain was in tears. Come to find out, was nothing life threatening. Thank god!! Still serious though. Don't like hospitals. But this one gets an A+. Thanks to all nurses as well!!!!
