I think a colonoscopy is a lot. The preparation is not enjoyable and when you arrive for the procedure you just want it over with. Things were explained well to me and I did not have a lot of wait time. The nurses that prepared me for the procedure were kind and welcoming. When the procedure was finished I was not rushed out. They gave me a drink and made sure I was ready to dress myself and listen to my discharge instructions. I was then wheeled out to my husband.
I appreciate that Dr. Sharma met with me before my endoscopy to answer my questions.

The group was very efficient. I would have liked to feel a little bit more like a human than a procedure. I felt a lot of pain during the procedure.
The nurse that assisted the doctor was so unfriendly and never referred to me by my name. She provided medication to my IV without informing me of what the medication was. Results of my colonoscopy were given to me when I was still under the influence is of the sedation. The office should allow a patient advocate to be present and ask questions of the doctor. A phone call from the nurse with results is inadequate.
