About this business

Originally opened in the small town of Carlotta, California, loyal fans would drive hours to get their Shamus T Bones fix. Eventually, the co-owners decided to open a larger location in Eureka, and they built their dream restaurant from the ground up right by the beautiful Humboldt Bay. They've been attracting regulars ever since, and it's their goal for everyone in the community to feel welcome to visit. Exceptional service! Food was perfect and atmosphere relaxing. Back porch could use a gazebo and a few more seatings but otherwise very comfortable around the fire pit.

Business response:

Hi Careen, We're glad you enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and firepit... your gazebo idea sounds fantastic!😍

Had one of the best Ribeyes ever! The shrimp was sensational, as was the artichoke appetizer. Will definitely return! The service was simply perfect!

Great service from the moment you enter, the hostess was welcoming and so helpful in answering our questions about the menu. All 4 entrees ordered were very good, especially the fish tacos and the steelhead fish. My pork chops were thin and tender, smothered in onions and peppers, delicious! (Our waiter Casey was super, very attentive & helpful with my allergy restrictions ) Added bonus: show your room key from the Best Western and receive 10% off!

Business response:

Thanks for your review Erin! We're glad you all enjoyed yourselves.

Not bad, had the all you can eat taco's, which were really good, rice no flavor, beans very runny. It took way to long for drinks, was already on my 2 trip to the taco bar before my bucket of beers came, how long does it take to put 6 beers and ice in a bucket? Need to try the chicken wings now. Last week we ate here and pork ribs were over cooked, they were dry. All in all not to bad.

Had a nice atmosphere and service was great. Unfortunately a little over priced for what we had anticipated.

Great steak for the hubby and vegetarian options for me. Wonderful view of the bay. Overall great place in Eureka. Would have been a 5 if they didn't have a mountain lion skin on the wall. Who eats mountain lion?

Business response:

So glad we were able to accommodate both you and your husband. We pride ourself on having a diverse menu that has a little something for everyone. Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your dining experience.
