Originally opened in the small town of Carlotta, California, loyal fans would drive hours to get their Shamus T Bones fix. Eventually, the co-owners decided to open a larger location in Eureka, and they built their dream restaurant from the ground up right by the beautiful Humboldt Bay. Was there 4 years ago and it was great. This time it was terrible. The seafood chowder was runny with no flavor. The prime rib was 1/4 fat, tough and chewy. Would no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone.
the prime rib we had was half FAT and had no taste at all.I rate their food that night poor half star.
Loved the fish tacos and my husband had the Tex mex combo. Yum! Also 20% off if u are staying at the Best Western in front of this restaurant

This is the second time we have been there in 3 weeks and the second time was as great as the first time. The steaks are mouth-watering.......
This place needs a visit from chef Ramsey. The shrimp were freezer burnt & clearly cooked on the same grill as the meat. The vegetable soup was tasteless with no seasoning. The brisket tasted like liquid smoke. I wasn't able to eat my dinner it was so bad & what I did eat was deposited into their toilet. McDonalds is a much better choice at least there you know what you're in for.
I love this place always have a good time the staff is very polite and respectful and after 10 they are a lot of fun too! highly recommended to all my friends and if you haven't you should try Fridays and Saturdays there it's a blast
Amazing food and great service with a fun atmosphere like nothing else in Humboldt County. Right on the water too. Go at sunset it's an amazing view.
Shamus T - Bones was on point tonight. Great customer serve in the bar, the food was amazing and all of this with a packed house. I've been there 3 times in the past month and have not been disappointed. Our Rib eye's were cooked to perfection.
So good we went here twice while visiting my Grams. Thank you Shamus!
