Extremely professional – After ordering my bridesmaid dress from a bridal store and receiving it, I put it it on and it was a nightmare. I took it to Sew Special, and with talking and working with Mike, he made the dress beautiful. The dress is so beautiful and tailored to my body that I can now wear it to other events. They're not just tailors! – For the second time my company went straight to Sew Special to complete an important order. We worked with Mike to have him and his team custom make pillows for us in a variety of colors with different logos embroidered onto them. It was a very larger order and each pillow came out perfectly and we received everything on time. Thanks to Mike and Sew Special for another stress free experience!
Great alterations but way overpriced – I brought in a bridesmaid dress in for alterations. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and knew what needed to be done and then some. But shop was messy and I was uncomfortable in the dressing area which consisted of a drape blocking off an area in the middle of the shop. The dress was completed on the date requested and turned out beautifully. The alterations were way overpriced; I will shop around for a more reasonably priced tailor before returning.
Quality alterations and very knowlegeable and friendly staff – I brought a baby quilt as well as a bridesmaid dress into Sew Special and I was extremely pleased with the quality as well as the friendliness of the staff. The baby quilt that I had to have them finish up for me (in less than 1 week) was a complete disaster when I brought it in and they were able to create a masterpiece for what I believe (based on the amount of labor that I knew went into it) was a very reasonable price. Great for any type of alterations – I have had several dresses altered here and the experience is always positive. The women are very friendly and clearly are very knowledgeable about how to make clothes fit well. It's a little on the expensive side (alterations to my bridesmaid dress cost $115), but close to what I hear about other good tailoring places.
If you're a pefectionist, this place will bring out the perfection! – You know when you find yourself looking for something specific to wear and you can't find it or afford it? Or when you see a celebrity wearing something to die for and you want the EXACT same thing? Often you are left disappointed.
