Forgetful – Please let me share my first and only experience at Sew Special Tailors. I hope for their sake that mine is an isolated incident. I have favorite pair of jeans that the metal button over the zipper fell off. I took it there on Thursday afternoon. They said that they could sew another one on. I explained that I don't want it to be sewed on, but to use a special device so that it would be on both side of material (button on the outside, tab-like thing on the inside). Great Manufacturer for Cut& Sew Products – I have used Sew Special for almost 2 years now to sew my Twiddle products. Not only are they reliable and high quality, they are helpful in finding solutions. Good people too!
BEST CLEANERS IN CHICAGO!!!!! – This cleaners does excellent work. They do exactly as I asked them to, and they give me great suggestions as well. I have never ever received a garment that I was not completely pleased with. I would recommend this cleaners to anyone if they want perfect work done!!! Go and see for yourself!!
Great repair of my curtains – First I took my sheer, delicate curtains to my regular dry cleaner to be shortened - big mistake. They ended up making a mess of the curtains and eventually refunded all my money. Then I tried Sew Special after reading good reviews and they did an excellent job. I would've liked to pay less (they charged $25 per curtain panel, and I have 5 of them) but it was definitely worth it. I'll certainly be returning to Sew Special!
MY DREAM CHRISTNING GOWN – We went to Sew Special to have a Christening gown made for my first born daughter. They told me about a great place to go and get the fabric and they helped me with picking out the style for the Gown. They made everything very eeeesy for me. The best! – Mae really understands clothes and tailoring! I brought in two vintage dresses of my mother's that are very special to me. She understood how 50 year-old clothes are made and was able to alter them perfectly, even tho the fabric is old and delicate and one dress had multiple challenges. Great help in emergency! – I went to Sew Special when I had a bridesmaid dress emergency. The wedding was in a week and I needed to have the dress let out. I took the dress to them and they said yes when other tailors had told me no. They understood I had no other option and were very accommodating. I took the dress in on a Saturday and I picked it up the next Wednesday! Not only that, but the work was fabulous. The dress fit perfectly without any additional work. Sew Special tailors are the best I've found – The tailors at Sew Special at 2921 are real magicians. I was supposed to attend a Mardi Gras ball in New Orleans, but sadly, I had outgrown my beautiful gown, In fact, I had outgrown almost everything in my closet, thanks to a medication that made me gain wright, and was spending a fortune replacing enough clothes to show up in public. Great Service and wonderful work! – I came to Sew Special to have a prom dressed for my cousin who lives in Minneapolis. The service here is great, they took care of us. They scheduled her fittings in accordance to when my cousin was able to come to Chicago. I highly recommend to place for you custom needs. The dress is beautiful and it didn't cost that much money. I am very, very pleased and will return.
