Two nurses stand out on the sixth floor: Tyun and Coco. (probably misspelled). They were attendant, caring, and professional. I’ve been in way too many hospitals after major surgery and I can’t say enough good things about you guys. From the friendly parking attendant standing in freezing wind to Dr Trumeez, all who helped us demonstrated the very best patient care possible. Way to go!

My dad was taken to Seton NW Friday night, Jan 31, with chest congestion and breathing issues. He is elderly and can get agitated by long stays in the hospital (greater than 24 hours). He saw two wonderful doctors and several awesome nurses during his stay in room 480 in the ICM/ICU wing. I would like to especially call out one spectacular nurse for her professionalism, soft touch skills, and for really listening to both my father and mother, coaching them on medical options. Her name is Udy Ekpenyong, RN, and she is someone... read more

Big shout out to Dr Roe, my anesthesiologist today. Ive always had problems waking up from anesthesia, takes forever and then i basically sleep for 2-3 days with a terrible anesthesia hangover. I told him about it, he totally adjusted the normal protocol, removed a drug and did lighter version of other drugs. I woke up quickly and don't feel terrible. Absolutely amazing, so happy. Not to mention he was super nice so was everyone at the hospital. If you have to have surgery in Austin i highly recommend going here #lifechanger... read more

If you don’t have insurance just tough it out.. they pretend to swab here check that.. literally had 2 doctors to check me. They run up a bill and hand me 3 ibuprofen and tell me nothing’s wrong.. I’m literally in tears and pain walking to my car with a tentative bill for $400.. they treat you like you’re trying to get pills when all you want is help. But I don’t have the money to get help here and because Ascension has a freaking monopoly on hospitals in Austin I won’t be able to get help until I can pay $1000 a month for h... read more

The billing is ridiculous. $88.50 for one pill that I need 3 of 4+ times a day. That’s over $1000 a day for just that one medication that is price gouging and is not right and should be illegal. Our medical system is set up for people not to thrive or survive but for max profit. It’s not right! This is a small portion of this 3 page bill where you marked up single pills 800% to even 1000% mark up. How can you sleep at night. A system designed for max profits and don’t care about patients. I can’t pay my portion of this bill ... read more
