About 2 months ago, the hard drive in my laptop experienced a total crash. After rebooting, the drive simply would not power up. Being stupid and not backing up and then having your hard drive crash is a nightmare. Pretty good experience since my hard drive was extremely corrupted by the time it got to Secure Data Recovery. Chris McMacken, my rep, was really helpful throughout the entire process and even worked to get my price down some. He was prompt about contacting me when there was an update in my case. Hopefully I'll have learned something about backing up my data after this but if something ever goes down again I'm going for SDR.

From my research, this service is not the least expensive. That said, it was the only service that boasted a 98% recovery rate! They also only charge for diagnostics if they are not able to recover the data, which was only $30. So I gave them a try. I am not disappointed.
