Recently moved to the area. Been here a few times and the service is great! Everyone is so sweet and helpful. These 1 star reviews sound emotionally driven and borderline racist. It's not uncommon for businesses to reserve washroom use/tables for customers. This isn't a public service, like a library, it's a coffee shop.
It used to be a nice Second Cup but now it's very slow and disorganized. You can tell that they don't train the staff at all, as you can hear them yelling, "how do I do this?!" while you wait 10 mins for your order. The staff are mildly unpleasant.
Let the people pee! I just saw the cashier tell an older woman who had literally just been sitting in the cafe 5 minutes ago that she had to buy something to use the bathroom.. she literally just had! Your staff should use some discretion for these situations. I understand you don't want "certain" types of people to use the bathroom but it's a little ridiculous to not let people who live in the neighborhood use the bathroom.
