Kate is great! – I've been to Seagull on several occasions and each visit has been great. Kate is fantastic at cutting hair but also a genuis at coloring. I can be really picky about things and every time i asked for an adjustment (like cutting the bangs shorter after it was done), Kate smiled and said absolutely. Surprisingly, in the 10 years I have lived in NYC, I have found it surprisingly difficult to get a good haircut. Finally, I have found the solution - Kate at Seagull!
We got fired – We were some of Seagulls first clients. My husband missed ONE appointment and apologized. For his next appointment, they screwed up and he said not to worry about it. I tried to make a third appointment and Johanna said that he would have to pay in advance because of his bad "track record" with getting to his appointments on time. I've never been treated so badly especially while I was a loyal customer.
Laura: Every gay man's dream stylist – I've been going to Laura for six months now, and I'm currently sporting the best haircut I've ever had. Not only is she a great technical stylist (she cut my hair the old-fashioned way, scissors-over-comb), she also happens to be the coolest chick to ever put on a pair of high-heel boots. best haircut i've ever had. kate is fantastic. – i've never had such a lovely experience at a salon. i entered with hair halfway down my back, and left feeling totally liberated with the perfect pixie cut. kate was charming, sassy, and made an artful cut look easy as pie (not that i really find pie particularly easy, but you know what i mean). the staff is cool and laid-back, completely free of the a-hole vibe that many high-end salons prefer. while $100 is more than i typically prefer to pay, it was worth it. i have a wash ... read more
I only trust LUKE!!! – I have been going to Seagull for 3 years now. I love my hair, and I love Luke. When I first came to him, I had over processed long blah hair, and now I have a fierce look.
