Shaun ROCKS!!! – Shaun is awesome! I've been salon hopping in NY for the past two yrs, in total withdrawal from my fabulous Montreal stylist, but am happy to announce that all this has changed with Shaun. He was super chill, attentive, and made me feel right at home, which i have not yet encountered in any NY salon. Most of all, he gave me the BEST cut ever! My salon hopping days are def over. I have never bothered to write a review before, but i figured it would just be wrong to keep this to myself!
Seagull is the best! – I found out about Seagull because I was searching for a salon that carried Davines products (I recently relocated from the West Coast) and when I stopped in to buy my conditioner I immediately knew that Seagull was my new salon. Somehow this place is both chic and homey. No attitude at the front desk, everyone is super friendly and not in a fake way at all. No Jennifer-Aniston-cookie-cutter type haircuts ! – I never wore my hair down before Shaun cut my hair because I just never got a good cut for my hair type-and he listens to what you say you want. Johanna spins the new hip tunes.
Amazing Color; Rad Atmosphere – This salon is a hold-out of ultimate artistic creativity and looking good and feeling good trumping catty fashion salons that make you feel inadequate. Awesome X 1 million!!! – Seagull Haircutters is stellar! Shaun and Johanna are the only people that can make me feel like David Bowie and Lawrence of arabia at the same time.
Best Haircut and atmosphere – I love Seagull Salon! Not only are the welcoming. But they are very fashion forward and versatile. The staff is exceptionally talented and friendly. I would reccomend anyone I know to go there. I Love Shaun (hairstylist) and Johanna (owner) they are golden!!
i wish i wasn't trying to grow my hair out! – JUST got back from seagull... it was so fun and my haircut is awesome. Kate understood what I wanted, did it quickly, and was super nice and funny also! I'm sad that I'm trying to grow out my hair, because now I want to get my hair cut all the time! AND they carry Davines products, which are The Best. So yay for the Seagull!
This place ROCKS! – I've been to a lot of "trendy" hair salons where I was treated like an A$$HOLE by staffs that are ridiculously snobby with zero right to be. Best cut and color, and a fun place to hang out.... – Shaun is a great stylist. He took my hair from jet black to a gorgeous brown without making it feel like straw. His haircuts are amazing too. I have medium length hair that I never blowdry but it looks good for up to two monthes after he cuts it without me putting any effort in.
