SCARPA use crappy glue. Had 2 pairs of SCARPA Goretex hiking shoes that had the rubber around the front toes let go. And that was before I event started any serious use with them. Pretty disappointing when I pay so much for what is supposed to be a quality brand. I have stuck with SCARA for a while, but I am going to be looking around at other bands now.

In 2005 I purchased a pair of Scarpa Gortex boots for the 6 day Kilimanjaro walk. Beautiful boots. Perfect. Since then I have worn them a few days a year when I operated as a hot air balloon pilot in Australia. The tops of the boots, even the laces and the soles are in very good condition. However when I last went to put them on the layer between the boot and the sole just fell apart - on both boots. I consulted a plastics expert who informed me that the material is a type of polyurethane with a well known limited life expec... read more

My boots came apart in less than a year. Not happy!

Had a pair that tore along the top side near the laces after a couple weeks of climbing and when I asked about a warranty I was told no because that’s general wear. So I guess they are saying their shoes are not made to a high enough standard to withstand 5 weeks of normal easy climbing. Why would I recommend this to anyone I like??

Brett Hinman was a huge help in honoring a Rottefella Freedom NTN Binding! His email responses were quick and had a friendly tone. I am never let down by SCARPA equipment, and although I was disappointed my original binding broke, I am sure the replacement will last a good long while. I can’t wait to ski some backcountry terrain on these new bindings! Thank you!

I use SCARPA for all of my outdoor footwear - rock shoes, AT ski boots, hiking footwear, approach shoes. They make an awesome product! Today, I noticed that one of my ski boots was cracked. I sent some photos, and began the warranty process. The transaction was so smooth and I was taken care of so quickly that it almost made my head spin. This is a wonderful company, with wonderful people at its helm, and they deserve your business whenever you have the opportunity to give it to them.

Had a pair of Scarpa Escapes for 5 years before they wore out. This included field work and very heavy use. I'm in the market for new boots and will most likely go with another pair of Scarpas!

I own several Scarpa outdoor products, they are well designed, the fit is true to size, the construction has held up in extreme conditions.

Service!!!! I bought my boots specifically to do a trekking in Nepal, unfortunally after 5 days of hiking the boots broke and when I tried some support of the brand I had 11 emails, with 6 different people in 3 different countries and without any solution or help. The product is not bad, but the support is the most terrible I had in my life.
