18.09.2019 at sierra.com I bought Scarpa Hydrogen Gore-Tex. In mid of October 2019, in these new boots went for only 5-day hike no more than 100 km. During this short period of time, the surface of both shoes, worth $ 100, was rubbed to the holes in the same place (see photo), and in fact the shoes became unusable, although there were no heavy loads or impacts on the shoes, no precipitation. After spending £180 on Terra GTX boots, they started leaking. After sending them back under warranty, I was informed the sole was worn through to the porous mid-sole, which comes under wear and tear. Considering they were used for just daily dog walks on flat terrain, this isn't what I'd expect from an apparently premium product. Stay away, save your money

Bought brand new (old season) Scarpa ZG trek gtx boots. After roughly 10km of walking on flat paths, the entire sole started to come off. Considering the price you pay for these I cannot belive it. Extremely angry. Won't buy Scarpa again.
Bought a Scarpa Trekking shoe last April. So the shoe was just over a year old and used only 5 times. The right shoe sole was found to be broken (in the middle) after a downward trail in the Swiss alps. It started with a click and evolved into front and back part being disconnected within the sole. The shoe was not protecting against rolling the foot anymore and in fact the broken piece ended up hurting my feet. The left shoe had similar symptoms (loud clicking). So I have to say that the customer service I had from Scarpa was absolutely top notch. Brett Hinman was my point of contact with Scarpa North America and was seriously outstanding. Don’t know if his bosses read these reviews but give that man a raise! I wish that the same could be said for the boots that I tried. I got a pair of Scarpa Ribelle Tech OD’s in Feb. I have climbed in La Sportiva's and 5.10's and i recently bought my first Scarpa's - Force 5's. The build quality of the Scarpa's is absolutely top notch. The inner shoe is absolutely smooth - no weird bumps or seams that dig into my feet that i have experienced in other shoes. The shoe is lined with a breathable lining which should help them breath better and wear longer. i can't say anything about durability yet, but the construction of the shoe is absolutely first class with re-inforcing around the strap attachment points... read more
I bought my dad a pair of Maestrale RS boots for his birthday last year, he had a bad wipe out and broke the walk/ski mechanism off. I called the company this morning, and less than an hour later they had a new pair of boots ordered to be shipped to my dad. Zero hassle for me, quick turnaround, and pleasant to work with. Gotta love a company that stands behind their gear.
Scarpa are good shoes in climbing mountaineering alpine and skiing to me I really recommend this brand for adventure lovers.
