The pulled pork sandwich was wonderful. But I really had my heart set on those onion Straws. But when I got to order I was told they were out of them. Only to have some paraded right past me before I got half my sandwich down. What's up with that?
I think this place is absolutely incredible. Everything I look for in a place. Hole in the wall, local hangout, great music. Fresh wonderful food. Staff very informative, interactive. I've thourghly enjoyed every visit. Is a stop, I make every time I visit Birmingham.

Best of everything. Food was great! Service was great! Atmosphere was great! Smell was great! Will be back every time I come to Birmingham.
Absolutely fantastic food. Only about 6-7 tables but so worth it! Met some nice people too! Jordan and Darian locals that had tried just about everything! We had the blackened shrimp and grits, pulled pork collard greens and grits and my daughter had the pulled pork sandwich! LOVED all of it! The girl that took our order could have smiled but besides that soooooo good!!
Food was good, service was friendly and the price point is spot on for the amount of food I was given.
As always, the food was outstanding. My favorite BBQ. I've had many meals at Saw's with friends and family. All rave culinary reviews. As for the service...unfriendly, rude, consistently so. Interesting to read others feel the same. I'll go back bc the food is that good but I suppose I might get tired of the staff at some point. Good thing there are ample excellent BBQ joints in Birmingham. I'll frequent them more often.
The food was fantastic but like others have said the staff knows the food is good so they don't bother being hospitable. The lady taking orders is not helpful in a way and was very rude..The cooks are awesome!!!
I was really disappointed. The pork sandwich and banana pudding were really good and the only reason I gave 2 stars. However 3 orders of "sweet tea chicken" tasted like fried pickles and burned grease not to mention the customer service was more like a 0.
