Why chain BBQ does well in polls they serve more but why go to Nicks went your so close to this dive. I have had some of the best BBQ in the southeast and Saws is on my list of the best Im knot a big fan of white sauce but enjoined there's, the ribs are the best in Birmingham, and the pork was good with Saws take of Alabama red sauce. Over all this puts Saws in with world famous places like Big Bob Gibsons and Interstate BBQ as where I tell people to eat at least once.

Flew in from Singapore to Tampa and drove up to B'ham to see my step-bro, Barry Curry. He brought me here for a meal and it's got to be the best ribs I've ever eaten, bar none! Hope to get back again, but flying from Singapore to B'ham for a meal is a bit on the high side. Awesome food!
Being from SC, I've tried more than my share of good BBQ. SAW's by far is some of the best I've ever had. The greens were amazing! Definitely will be back and highly recommend for those even remotely passing through Birmingham. Nice work Wilson!
Absolutely the best BBQ in Alabama! The sweet tea fried chicken is the most flavorful chicken I've ever tasted. The fried okra and fried green tomatoes do not disappoint. And the white BBQ sauce is one of the best I've ever tried. Hands down, THE #1 restaurant in all of Alabama!
Hands down the best BBQ in Alabama. I've eaten at Saw's well over 50 times and I've never had a bad experience. Very nice folks, great food, and the epitome of consistency. Thanks for smoking.

Best ribs I've ever had...every meat on the menu is a winner
I really enjoyed Saw's, we stopped in on our way through going to Tennessee. The BBQ tasted great and the service was helpful and very nice. We got some pulled pork and some pork ribs and they were delicious.
