Our second location, conveniently located just north of Crabtree mall in the Pleasant Valley Promenade shopping center, is now open for lunch and dinner everyday. Our second restaurant is much bigger, featuring private party rooms and full bar; however our mission remains the same - that is to make your every visit to our restaurant a satisfying experience. Despite the huge footage of over 7,000 sq ft, our 2nd location is still as cozy as Sawasdee has always been known for, and better yet, we have something for everyone at t... read more

I LOVE this place!! – Having been to other Thai restaurants in the area and being disappointed time and time again, the food at Sawasdee was a refreshing change. The restaurant is small and intimate and the service great. What can I say other than "I love this place!!"
Wonderful Date Night Food – My husband and I ate here on our "date night" having read the rave reviews. We were impressed with the smiling service and delectable food. Everything tasted fresh and our stomachs were full. We also enjoyed their coconut rice desert.
Service and food is very good. – I drive (18 miles one way) past many Thai places to eat here at least twice a week. It is always consistant.
Where Austin Powers goes for Ka Nom Jeep. Thai favorites served in cozy groovadelic restaurant. – In Short Forget Chinese zodiac placemats and the plink of koto music--Sawasdee combines hot colors and quirky decor for a unique look. Tangerine walls and velvet curtains create an eclectic yet homey space. The kitchen features both the expected fare (spring rolls, green curry, pad Thai) and house specialties. Portions are large; the sa-tay chicken could feed a village and the spicy catfish's crispy textures excite the mouh with... read more
Great food and ambience! – Sawasdee is no doubt the best Thai restaurant in the Triangle. I have tried almost every dish on the menu and everything tastes fantastic. The place is small but I never have to wait for longer than 5 minutes even on the Friday nights. Try it and you will keep coming back!
High quality ingredients – I love their Jasmine Rice that is the best quality of rice in the world market. I feel like no other Thai restaurants in Triangle dare to let customers try Jasmine rice because they want to keep the cost down. Unfortunately, I love something premium. Also, The rice is lively molded as a Teddy Bear/Star/Butterfly and some other cute shapes. What a rice that is high quality and animated? It is rice at Sawasdee. About the food, it's always tasty and they put all best ingredients in the market that you... read more
Do they have Mango Sticky Rice? – I never have mango sticky rice since I moved from California. I enjoyed their food and have 2 orders of mango sticky rice.
Best drunken noodles – Sawasdee offers the best drunken noodles in town. It is very different from drunken noodles served at other restaurants. I really love it. It's the way you have always wished it would taste.
Gouy Tiew Pad Krapow Chicken – I think my favourite dish is the hardest dish to pronounce in their menu. Eventhough I visited there and always order this item, I still cannot pronounce it.
Sawasdee Thai Restaurant has a 4.3 star rating with 305 reviews.
