I really appreciated how attentive the entire staff exhibited during our stay. At check-in we requested a riverfront room & were told there was only one riverfront room available at that time. We took it, room 764, great views of the amazing boats traveling up & down the Savannah River, however, it had a mold smell. We didn't complain because we liked the views so well. We would stay there again.

The location was awesome! However, the gigantic (at least 6 foot tall) inflatable penis and the drawing of a penis ejaculating with blue ballons for testicules taped to the window on second floor that greeted my teenaged daughter, 10 year old son, my husband and myself as we were returning from River Street last night was a bit shocking! I reported what a saw to the desk clerk and her response was just a shocking..."I wish I knew the room number." All I could think was, "can't you get someone to walk outside and check!" This was our first visit to Savannah. We were there for the New Year holiday and the river view from the hotel was awesome. We had a great view of the fireworks. The hotel is right on the riverwalk and walking distance to most everything. However nice the location, my husband and I were disappointed that the hotel is so outdated! Our room had a very musty smell and the bed and toilet were so low to the ground! The room was clean and the staff was great! I live locally in savannah but my wife wanted to stay down town for new years.the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but I was a little disturbed there was no valet parking offered when arriving the rooms a/c would not work it had one temp very hot . The room had no fridge/ microwave but there was a cabinet for both and the carpet had big red and black stains in 5 diffrent spots .for the money spent there for one night you would think the room would be outstanding.

I have to say that I am disappointed. The rooms are so outdated. Popcorn ceilings, old dresser, archaic heating and air system that ran all night. No ventilation in bathroom. Even though they are remodeling the atrium, there is much work to be done. The room was clean but the old room furniture and linens take away from what could be a nice place. The staff was very nice. This is the first Marriott I have been disappointed in.
