Sassafras is an eclectic “Chalkboard” style restaurant. The progressive menu allows our experienced kitchen staff to incorporate a myriad of culinary skills acquired over the years. We work closely with local vendors, farms, breweries, wineries, bakeries, and coffee roasters. Buying local allows us to present fresh, high quality food, and beverages. Our new setup has a stage, dance floor, and is nestled at a historic location next the the Carson Hot Springs in Carson City, Nevada.

I have been coming here a while, but was very disappointed after one of my favorite dishes made me violently ill and the management refused to take responsibility for it or refund my money. I will no longer be spending my hard earned money here, and will no longer advise anyone else to.
Unusual restaurant for Carson Reminds me of places in Key West or Maui
Started with shrimp fondue which was excellent. Followed with a very tasty Gumbo and the day special...fried chicken. We had a cozy table outside. Waitress was wonderful. Also, do yourself a favor and order the Lavender Lemon drop Martini

The best Sand Dabs I've ever had. Great service, friendly people, full bar, entertainment, Great salads and soups. And Pizzas! it just goes on and on. I love this place!
