prices way to high Had been useing this Vet for years and had friends and neighbor quit going there for different reasons. My last experience with this Vet caught me off guard. My Golden Retrievers ear had a large bubble on it which i new what it was cause this same thing happened two years ago. So i left my dog this time at the Vet to have him fix her and when i picked her up her bill was three times what i had paid the previous time. no wait, reasonable prices We have taken our dog to this vet twice and were able to walk right in with just a quick phone call. The Animal Medical Center in El Cajon is always at least an hour wait, and extremely expensive, probably to pay for there LCD TV's in the lobby! Is that really necessary? Anyway, this guy is good, fast, and reasonable.
misleading company My newborn baby was diagnosed with ring worm from our pediatrician. We went to Santee pet hospital to have our cats examined, assuming that they must have given this to our son. we were told we have to give our cats de-worming pills - which we later find out has nothing to do with ring worm. ring worm is a fungus not an actual worm. then they ran tests, culturing some of their pet dander - saying that the tests came back positive & the cats have ring worm. loved dr lindsy had dr lindsy for my vet, she is a vet for vets that are on vacation, so she moves around alot. loved her!!! explained every thing and took her time ask me questions and also answered them. shes a keeper but where will she be next?
Not helpful for too much $$$ Always leave the Santee pet hospital feeling like I got screwed. They never know what's wrong with my animals and always charge too much money. I will never go back.
Extremely overpriced Went in thinking my dog had allergies. Came out thinking my dog had allergies for $100. Said if I wanted to know which allergy I would need to see a specialist, gave him a shot and charged me $95.
Recommended I highly recommend this vet if you happen to live in the area. The employees are friendly and the veterinarian is knowledgable and likes animals. It is somewhat expensive, but they do not seem to be out to gouge you for money. Unfortunately, this vet isn't the most advanced in terms of technology and treatments. For example, it has no antivenom. If your dog is bit by a snake, you must take them elsewhere. The vet can be contacted 24/7 in case of emergencies.
