I appreciated the good vibes as they greeted me at the entrance. I ordered a Very tasty strawberry mango banana smoothie. Made with coconut milk. Filling. Great size for the price. I visited the shop for a monthly discussion group. Eye opening experience. I will definitely come back to shop for books!
Sankofa is my favorite movie ever so when searching for places for my family #WokeCation I was beyond belief that the makers of the film had a book store and cafe and there was an #AllEyesOnDC event happening the evening we went . The staff , the book selection( I brought two one about Kemet and the Andrinka Dictionary.) the food , drinks and event were all 5 stars I would give more if I could! It was a #Woke People Sanctuary. Will visit every trip to D.C. From now on! ����������
I always go to Sankofa. The atmosphere is great, with great energy and high frequency food. �
This place is awesome. I went here so I could buy some snacks and work and was pleasantly surprised by their book selection. I got my work done and purchased a few books. The staff were so friendly
Great music, nice people and food. There are plenty of books and children playing chess.
I LOVE IT ,THE SERVICE FROM THE STAFF A GOOD SELECTION OF BOOKS AND MOVIE AND FOOD IS DELICIOUS
