Don't ever let them renew your membership at a check stand. Last year I did that and without my permission, they checked the box for automatic renewals. My bank flagged it as fraud but it went through anyway. I learned that they do this at the check stands and you have to tell them no. I never use my debit card for automatic renewals of anything so this is how I know they did it without my permission. They don't really care what their customers think about them.

Sam's Club renewed my membership without my consent. They took $50.00 off my card without letting me know and when I called them to refund the money they told me it could take 5 to 7 days. They were able to take the money right away but not give it back.
